Howard Burr, president
Howard oversees all aspects of the business, from bidding the jobs, to managing the execution of the contract. He brings over 30 years of construction and design experience to each project and is personally committed to the successful completion of each project. Howard has an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business (1989); an MFA from Maryland Institute, Rinehart School of Sculpture, where he was awarded the Rinehart Award of Excellence (1980); and a BFA from University of Connecticut (1987). In 1985 Howard founded Howard Burr Company and in 1990 incorporated as Burr Graal Glass Inc., an interior residential renovation construction company in NYC (1990-present).
Marguerite Shore, vice president
Marguerite oversees all aspects of running the BGG office (1990-present). She has over 30 years of experience in the art and architecture field as a writer, translator and office manager. She has a BA from Vassar College (1976). Marguerite’s prior work includes: research assistant, Architectural League of New York (1975); assistant, Richard Meier Architects (1976); assistant, Susana Torre, Architect (1976-78); research assistant, Emilio Ambasz, Architect (1978); and freelance writer and translator (1980-present), clients include Museum of Modern Art, Guggenheim Museum, Artforum Magazine, and Aperture Foundation.
Randall A. Burr, project consultant
Randy has 15 years of experience in residential renovation work. He has a BS from Fordham University (1996); and a Massachusetts Unrestricted Construction Supervisor License. Randy’s prior work includes: project manager, James E. Fitzgerald, Inc, New York, NY, oversaw several multimillion dollar projects in New York City (2008); project manager, Hobbs, New Canaan, CT, supervised construction of $20M residence in CT (2007-2008); project manager, Designer Cabinetry, Newton, MA, supervised $2M cabinetry work in the Boston area (2005-2006); construction management, Cordis Management, Chelsea, MA, helped supervise $10M of apartment renovations in Boston, MA (2001-2005); and carpenter, Burr Graal Glass, carpentry in NYC residential renovations (1996-2000). Randy currently is an as needed construction consultant.
Nick W. Johansen, social media
Nick helps with social media. He has an art background and comes from a family of architects. He appreciates the aesthetics and the logistics behind the completion of a successful project. Nick received his BFA at Wheaton College (2008) and has completed various continuing education courses at the New School (2010).
